Spiritual Warriors in the Army of Light

This morning (September 17, 2001) I awoke to a declaration of war. The president has said this nation is now at war - with terrorists, and whoever is harboring them. He said we should expect it to be a long, drawn out campaign.

I thought about the significance of this - amassing weapons of destruction to ferret out the evil-doers. A call to arms, a rallying of patriotic spirit in the fight against the enemy, albeit an enemy that is hidden in the shadows. As I felt in the cells of my body a reaction of anger, resistance, and worry, I asked for guidance. What are we to do? How do we, the Lightworkers, to respond to the programming, the messages of the need to attack the enemy, the fear?

This is what came to me:

We are an army also. Instead of using arms to kill, we reach out with our arms to embrace. We, too, have weapons. Rather than destroy and maim, our weapons are instruments of healing.

We have volunteered for this service. Now, we are being given our assignments. Long have we trained and prepared. Now, weâre being sent to the front lines. We are coming out of the underground, where we worked, studied, meditated and prayed in secret, or in small little groups among ourselves. Now is the time to stand forth and show ourselves, to reveal our commitment to the Light.

How do we wage peace?

Our single most potent weapon is Love. Love dissolves hatred, heals anger, restores confidence, realigns with Truth ÷Love that is pure, clear, unconditional. Love means looking beyond the outer appearance and seeing the hurt, the fear, the call for help beneath the outer actions of anger and violence.

Love means trusting that the other is always just doing the best he or she can. Love doesnât judge the other as bad or wrong simply because they are not doing or being what you would do or be. All are part of Godâs creation.

Love is the power of Spirit/Source/Creator shining through our eyes, our smile, our touch.

How do we stand against evil - hatred, violence, fear, with the weapon of Love?

Quite simple - you donât see the evil as having any power. You stay in your center. You stay connected to the Source. Let the Source give you the words, guide your actions.

You donât have to figure out what to say or do -you only have to be quiet, be present, be clear, and ask. Then let go and allow whatever comes through you to flow. The second most powerful weapon we have is a source of Inner Wisdom that knows, better than our conscious mind, what to say, what to do.

The time for doubting is over.

The time for trust is now.

Watch your mind. See how your thoughts can so quickly lead you into feelings. If youâre upset, return to the present moment. Watch, observe the feelings. Breathe. Ask your angels and guides to assist. Even if youâre not sure whether you really have guides and angels, do it anyway. Pretend.

Your assignments will come to you. Know that even if life seems to take you in strange directions, it is all part of the plan.

[This afternoon I spoke with a friend on the phone, who thought it was so peculiar that she was being pulled to visit family on the coast, near the ocean. She really wanted to be here, in Asheville, and join us for this event (spiritual gathering tonight to create the vision for the New Paradigm). As I spoke with her, I was moved to share my understanding that the forces of darkness had been testing their use of electromagnetic frequencies to generate violent rage. Many people on the east coast, and especially in the New York and Washington areas, have reported feeling irritated, upset, angry for no reason for the last several weeks. Lots of road rage. The sharks and alligators have been most affected by these frequencies, as we have seen. My friend had to be at the ocean in order to send healing love and light into the waters to rebalance the energies there, and to dissolve the harmful rays. She was where she needed to be to do her work.]

You will be where you need to be to do yours.

We each have our human lives - jobs, family, interests, relationships ....Know that all human concerns are simply the background. The foreground is your service to humanity, to the life on earth, to the planet, to the Universe.

We each have an important role to play. We are only given those tasks which are in keeping with our ability. It may be to listen respectfully to a neighbor whoâs all gung ho for war, waving patriotic flags. To listen without judging, and to send loving understanding. Ask Spirit for the appropriate words to say. You may then find yourself saying something like, ãI understand, thereâs so much anger and fear right now. But perhaps there is a better way than simply adding to the killing of innocent people.ä Then go on your way. No arguing. Just planting thoughts of peace. Gently, lovingly.

Perhaps you will find yourself called away suddenly on business or family matters, and you may wonder why youâre now in this new, strange place. Just ask to be shown - ãshow me how I may serve here.ä

Assume that whenever you are among people who are angry, or there are disputes around you, that you have the opportunity to be a peacemaker, to be understanding of both sides and to offer others the opportunity to be heard. If youâre not sure what to say or do, get out of the way. Spirit will speak through you.

Watch for the tendency to get caught by the drama. Many of us have been so conditioned that we react emotionally because weâre supposed to. ãIf Iâm not upset, there must be something wrong with me, ä we think. Watch how others may pull you in.

Be the listener, the observer, rather than the arguer. Release all opinions. Be the mediator. Remember you are the ground troops.

Whenever you find yourself in large groups in an audience, whether a movie theater, a church or at the county fair, use the opportunity to beam Love to all the people there. Blanket the place with Light.

One single individual connected with the Source and shining forth Love is more powerful than a thousand generating anger. Love is the Power because it comes directly from the Source of All That Is. The negativity is on shaky ground because it is a distortion, misqualified energy. It has no foundation in Reality. See it for the weakness that it really is. It cannot stand against Love.

Above all, love yourself. Be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself for your human feelings. They donât matter to Spirit. Rather through your human weaknesses you are closely connected to the rest of humanity. You feel a kinship with others who react with fear, worry, doubt. You understand, you know, what they feel, so youâre in a better position to be of service.

We are all called to be of service to the Forces of Light. We infiltrate the population. We go to the grocery store, the library, the baseball field. We can smile at a child, gently touch an abusive mother and sympathize with her frustration. We can say a word that offers her another option, a way to love herself and her child.

We can be a Beacon of Light to the world.

As we move into these challenging times and come face to face with people who are in fear, and therefore easily manipulated by the forces of darkness, hold fast to your knowing of your true purpose. These guidelines may be helpful:

 1. Always agree with the opposing view first. Express your understanding of the feelings being expressed.
 2. Show respect for the other, no matter how different their views are from your own. With those who call for attack and warfare, look for the fear underneath their words, their feelings of vulnerability.
 3. Ask within for words or deeds that will help the situation.
 4. Speak or Act in accordance with whatever feels right and natural in the moment.
 5. Love the other as you love yourself.

Let us call upon the Company of Heaven to assist us as we go forth on assignment now as Lightworkers.

Let the Transfiguring Golden Light of LOVE fill your heart. Fill to overflowing. Let your LoveLight Shine.

Love is the most powerful weapon. It is all that the Spiritual Warrior really needs.

Love is all there is.
